Empower Tomorrow! This is a part of our marketing focus over the next year to get you to consider Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) for your workforce development and lifelong learning needs. We want to see our students not only succeed but find fulfillment through their chosen career pathways. Whether your goal is to learn a skill, make a career change, earn a High School Equivalency/GED, certificate, diploma, or associate degree, or start here and transfer to a four-year institution, our qualified faculty and staff can help make your decision to choose Coastal Pines an easy one.
Students have access to over 140 programs of study through the traditional classroom setting, online, or even a hybrid setting. Having multiple methods of offering classes and flexible class scheduling helps students EMPOWER THEIR TOMORROW and reduces the barriers our students face while leading a busy lifestyle. Additionally, job placement and financial aid assistance is available – including the HOPE Grant, HOPE Scholarship, HOPE Career Grant, federal Pell grants, and other financial aid opportunities.
The College offers degree, diploma, and certificate programs as well as adult education, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes and workforce development services. High schools and high school students throughout our 13-county service area continue to get a jump start on their future through the Dual Enrollment program. This program provides qualified students an exceptional opportunity to simultaneously earn high school credit and college credit, at no cost to the student.
The Economic Development Division at CPTC offers area employers and individuals opportunities to learn and grow through non-credit programs at a reasonable cost. The wide variety of offerings are available online and include computers, healthcare, professional and personal development, and many more. And the Adult Education Division offers free non-credit classes that focus on High School Equivalency/GED preparation, English Literacy, and workforce development. These classes prepare students to earn a High School Equivalency (GED) credential or advance in their current field of employment.
CPTC continues to grow by adding in-demand courses and programs that allow our students access to the latest industry trends. New facilities and renovations provide students with state-of-the-art classrooms, labs and equipment. Partnering with local business and industry through advisory committees ensures our students are using the latest technology and learning the skills used by professionals.
